How do I configure the client to work behind firewall ?

Connection issues with the PlaySpan Player can be caused by security settings on your network or personal computer. Below are some steps that can help you resolve any connection issues you may be experiencing.

Connecting through a firewall
In order configure and run the client to work behind firewall you will need to know your current firewall settings. If you do not know your current firewall settings you may have to contact your system administrator if you are connecting through a network or contact your firewall vendor to help you obtain your settings.
To configure the firewall settings on the PlaySpan™ Player simply follow the steps below:

1. Click on “Settings” icon at the bottom of the PlaySpan™ Player
2. Click on “Network” tab.
3. Configure the Firewall settings and enter your firewall settings.
4. Click “Ok” to save the settings.

Windows Firewall, Internet Connection Firewall or ICF
Windows Firewall is protective boundary that monitors and restricts information that travels between your computer and a network or the Internet. This provides a line of defense against someone who might try to access your computer from outside the Windows Firewall without your permission.
Below are the steps for windows XP and Vista that will allow you to configure the Windows Firewall so that the PlaySpan™ Player can communicate with PlaySpan™ servers:

1. Click on the Windows “Start” Button
2. Select “Control Panel”
3. Click on the “Windows Firewall” Icon
4. On the left side of the window select “Allow a program through windows Firewall”. This will to open the Windows Firewall Settings window.
5. Select the “add program…” button
6. From the list select “PlaySpan”
7. Select “OK” until the Windows Firewall Settings window is closed.

I am unable to run Global MU® Online along with the PlaySpan Player ?

In order to run the PlaySpan Player along side of GMO you will need to run GMO in windowed mode. Follow the steps below to run GMO in windowed mode:

1. Start the GMO launcher as you normally would
2. Select the “Options” button from the GMO Launcher
3. Select the window resolution you wish to run the game in and check the box labeled “WindowMode”
4. Select “Apply” and then “Connect” to launch the game

I have a Mac will the PlaySpan Player work on it ?

As of now the PlaySpan Player does not support the Mac OS.
