What is PlaySpan™ ?
PlaySpan™
is game industry's first publisher-sponsored™ in-game commerce™
network. PlaySpan's patent-pending in-game search, commerce and micro
payment technologies enable game publishers and developers to generate
new revenues, acquire new users and extend the loyalty of existing
users. Leading game providers and virtual world publishers have
selected PlaySpan as their official marketplace for virtual goods
commerce.
What led to the creation of PlaySpan™ Player ?
The
company was founded by Arjun Mehta, a 6th grader, passionate about
gaming and software programming that can make game playing experience
exciting and more importantly rewarding.
It all started in Arjun’s garage in Silicon Valley in 2006. PlaySpan
was incorporated with Arjun’s earnings from selling online game items
won from quests he fought while attending 5th grade at Challenger
School in San Jose.
How does PlaySpan™ Player benefits the gamer ?
The
PlaySpan™ Player provides a platform where the gamers can participate in
buying and selling items to fellow gamers using real money. It helps to
establish a valid and secure place where the gamer can be assured that
he would be getting his/her end of the transaction.
Why do I need a PlaySpan™ Player account ?
You would need a PlaySpan™ Player account to buy and sell virtual goods. PlaySpan™ Player provides a secure and valid commerce platform for all transactions.
What are the eligiblity requirements to register and use the PlaySpan™ service?
In order to register and use the PlaySpan™ Player and service you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age and agree to the PlaySpan™ End User Agreement and Privacy policy
- Must not have a previously banned account with PlaySpan or game partner
- Valid game account with one of our MMO Game Partners
Valid form of payment to be used with purchasing and selling through the PlaySpan™ Player .
After completing a transaction, do I now "own" this item or character ?
No. According to the PlaySpan Service Agreement as well as The User Agreement and Software License,
to which you agreed when you installed the tool, makes it clear that you have no ownership rights to characters, items or currency.
What you have is the right to use them in accordance with the game developer/publisher license agreement, the rules of conduct of the game,
and PlaySpan’s terms of service.
When PlaySpan launches the client, PlaySpan and the game partner will permit you to "sell" and "buy" the right to use items and currency.
What is an Avatar ?
An Avatar is a user or a player’s virtual identity or character in a game.
How do I validate my Avatar with PlaySpan™ ?
In order to validate your in-game avatar with PlaySpan™, please follow the steps below:
- Login to the Player
- Click on “My Account” icon at the bottom of the tool
- Select “Avatar Mgmt” tab.
- Click on ‘New’ and enter appropriate details of your in-game avatar.
Note: Upon creating an Avatar on PlaySpan™, you will receive a validation token in your in-game mail box.
You will need to enter the validation token in the Player to validate your avatar with PlaySplan.
To enter the validation token in the Player,
- Login to the Player
- Click on “My Account’ icon.
- Select ‘Avatar Mgmt’ tab.
- Double click on the Avatar to validated
- Enter the validation token and click ‘Validate.
- You will receive a message saying “Avatar Validated Successfully”.
What are Midgard, Helheim, Lamu and Nacal ?
They are game servers in Global MU Online.
Where can I find the items or currency that I have purchased with the PlaySpan™ Player? Will they be transferred to my avatar or vault ?
The
item you purchased will be automatically delivered to the Avatar you
selected at the time of purchased. In the event that your Avatar's
inventory is full your item will have been delivered to your Vault.
Should your inventory or vault not contain enough storage space to
receive your purchased item then your purchase will be cancelled. You
will receive an e-mail notification with the reason for cancellation
and also a refund for that purchase within 2 to 3 days.
Do I need to have the item or currency in my inventory, if I want to sell it ?
In order to successfully sell your items or currency your Avatar must be in possession of it.
This means it should be in your Avatars inventory or in your Avatars Vault.
Please be advised that if you list an item that is not in your possession
(Avatar inventory or vault) your transaction will be cancelled and your seller rating will be negatively affected.
Why does PlaySpan™ Player support only Global MU Online ?
Global MU Online is our first game that is supported on PlaySpan™ commerce
network. We will be supporting many more games in the near future. You can register for an account and download the game at
